Inviting a new team member
-
Go to Settings → Team
Click the Settings icon in the bottom-left of the sidebar, then select Team.
-
Click "Invite member"
A modal appears with an email input and a role selector.
-
Enter their email address
The invite will be sent to this address. If they already have a Rankrop account with a different workspace, they'll be added to yours as a second workspace.
-
Choose their role
Select Admin or Member (see the role comparison table below).
-
Send invite
They'll receive an email with a sign-up link. The link is valid for 7 days. You can resend or revoke pending invites from the Team page.
Role permissions
There are two roles in Rankrop: Admin and Member.
| Permission | Admin | Member |
|---|---|---|
| View all clients and data | ✓ | ✓ |
| Add and edit clients | ✓ | ✓ |
| Add and manage keywords | ✓ | ✓ |
| Generate AI briefs | ✓ | ✓ |
| Run site audits | ✓ | ✓ |
| View and create reports | ✓ | ✓ |
| Delete clients | ✓ | ✗ |
| Invite / remove team members | ✓ | ✗ |
| Change billing plan | ✓ | ✗ |
| Manage workspace settings | ✓ | ✗ |
| Connect / disconnect integrations | ✓ | ✗ |
| Manage report templates | ✓ | ✗ |
| Set up client portal access | ✓ | ✗ |
Give Admin to agency owners and senior staff who handle onboarding, billing, and workspace settings. Use Member for account managers and writers who need full access to client work but shouldn't touch configuration.
Changing a member's role
Go to Settings → Team, click the three-dot menu next to the team member, and select Change role. The change takes effect immediately — no need to re-send an invite.
Removing a team member
Click the three-dot menu next to the member and select Remove from workspace. They lose access immediately. Any work they created (reports, briefs, keywords) remains in the workspace.
Pending invites
Invites that haven't been accepted appear in a "Pending" section at the bottom of the Team page. You can resend the invite email or cancel it from there. If an invite expires (after 7 days), you'll need to send a new one.
The Starter plan supports 2 team members, Growth supports 5, and Agency is unlimited. See Plans & Billing for a full comparison.
